Almost Perfect!

Today I woke up happy. Nothing beats the feeling of waking up beside the most important person in my life---My Mikhale. He was the person I mold to become. A kid with curious mind, with never ending questions and independently seek for answers, a pupil who strive to excel in class, playful, energetic, enthusiastic and the sweetest kid I've ever known...

I'm a Single Parent, and being one is the toughest job. Raising a child all by myself was never easy. As a single parent I need to fulfill the role of a mother and a father. I make sure that I'm involve in his daily routine, play and in school. I've gone through a lot of obstacles and sacrifices much but my priority in life is Mikhale's well being.

I never was the perfect mother, but I'm trying to become the best mom. I as a parent often overwhelmed and lacking the parenting skills necessary to do a good job. Mikhale was the typical Kid who enjoys playing with toys, running with friends, playing computer, doing things that would make him explore like the kids his age. He loves Avengers, Car toys and watching movies and I love spending time with him.

He was my partner in crime, my food-hopping buddy and my number 1 fan.

Every weekend I see to it that we have this unforgettable bonding moment together. It is difficult and challenging to be a parent, and it is more difficult to raise a child alone. But I think a good solid parenting has less to do with the number of parents in the home and more to do with the quality of parenting. SINGLE PARENTS RAISE GOOD KIDS TOO.

To the Single Parents:

Start with the positive attitude and focus on benefits of the single parenting, such as less conflicts and tension in the home. Establish firm, clear boundaries that leave no doubt that you are the boss in the home. Children needs limits. Use consistent discipline that provides clear expectations and guidelines for behavior and relay on natural and logical consequences. Manage time wisely and ask for help if necessary. Give yourself a credit to a job well done.
